In the earlier blog, we began with understanding the various dimensions of career and realized that its scope expands beyond merely the job an individual does, and the importance of these varying but related concepts to the individual.
Our childhood dreams ranged from visualizing ourselves as bus drivers, pilots, engineers, doctors, teachers and what not!! As we mature, and our realization of the world around us increases, we evaluate these dreams make them more “real”. While few of us begin realizing our passion early and decide to pursue it, while many take a longer time to realize their passion and dreams. It is but pretty common that one may wonder what their interest are for a long time in life, forget about pursuing them. Sometimes a long pursuit leads, very little time for the individual to accomplish anything when they decide to begin.
One approach that could be thought of to be able to find our pursuit is to begin early. It is better to begin as a kid (though many of us reading this blog may not really be kids any more, it would definitely help in the future ;), however its really not late today to begin with something like this ) - engage yourself in as many activities as possible. When I say activities, I mean, activities like learning martial arts, or painting, etc. Also go to social gatherings, where there are discussion on any topics. Activities of this nature begin revealing our skills and interest in a larger sphere; and help finding our passion early and achieving something substantially.
There is another approach to build a career, we shall discuss this at a later stage.
In the coming blogs we will get deeper into knowing the ways in finding our passion, goals which could reveal a larger number of career opportunities.
